Fatal car accident recently took place at an auto auction

Some people in Massachusetts enjoy going to auto auctions, in hopes of purchasing a vehicle for less than what they would pay at a car dealership. Most people do not anticipate that they could be injured at an auto auction. However, anywhere where automobiles are operated there is the possibility that a major accident could occur.

Three people lost their lives and nine people were hospitalized with injuries in a motor vehicle accident that took place at the Lynnway Auto Auction, located in Billerica, Massachusetts. The accident occurred at 10:13 in the morning. A person operating a Jeep Grand Cherokee all of a sudden quickly accelerated and sped into the building. The operator of the Jeep worked at the auto auction. He was 70 years old.

When the accident occurred, there were hundreds of patrons inside the auto auction building and also hundreds of patrons waiting outside. The dead include one man and two women. One of the six people injured in the crash has suffered from injuries that have been described as life-threatening. One witness to the accident has said it was "horrific." He reports hearing a loud noise and seeing patrons lying on the ground.

According to police, the situation seems to be an accident. They have stated that there is no sign that the accident was either intentional or an act of terrorism. However, an investigation is pending.

When a person is hit by a car, they could suffer from serious injuries, if they are lucky enough to be alive at all. These injuries can lead to substantial medical expenses, not to mention the lost wages and the pain and suffering the accident victim experiences. All in all, being the victim of a car accident is a costly situation. Therefore, those who have been injured in an auto accident, or the families of those who have been killed in an auto accident, may want to explore their legal options, so they can recoup some of the financial damages they suffered due to the crash.
